eFix Scanning App Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 24, 2026
This policy explains how eFix Scanning App, provided by eFix, handles information when you use its Android security scanning and report features. It describes app version 1.1.0 (package com.efixwa.scanner).
Information processed on your device
The app starts a security scan when opened. It processes information locally to identify potential security risks and generate scan results, including:
- Installed application names, package names, installation sources, declared permissions and components, and accessible application package (APK) contents, including selected compiled-code patterns.
- Device manufacturer and model, Android version, security patch date, screen-lock status, and available root and system-integrity indicators.
- Apps with enabled accessibility services, notification access or device-administrator privileges; the presence of user-installed security certificates; and developer-options and USB-debugging settings.
- Network configuration indicators, including whether a VPN or proxy is active and the configured proxy hostname.
- Scan dates, duration, progress, risk findings, recommendations, and apps removed through the app’s user-confirmed uninstall flow.
The app uses this information only to provide its scanning, security-check, results, uninstall-assistance and report features. Checking which permissions another app declares does not give this app access to your messages, contacts, microphone, camera or location. It does not read notification contents, capture your screen, inspect browsing traffic, or access other apps’ private data.
Data collection and transmission
This version has no account registration, advertising, analytics, remote crash-reporting service, or in-app payment system. It does not automatically send installed-app information, device information or scan results to eFix or a scanning server. It does not request Android’s Internet permission. eFix does not receive, sell or use your on-device scan information for advertising through this app.
Permissions and Android features
- Installed-app visibility (QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES): allows the app to inspect installed-app information for its security checks.
- Uninstall requests (REQUEST_DELETE_PACKAGES): allows the app to open Android’s uninstall confirmation dialog for an app you select. Android requires your confirmation; the scanner does not silently uninstall apps.
- Network state (ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE): allows the app to check network configuration for VPN or proxy indicators, not to intercept network traffic.
- Document saving: Android’s system file picker lets you select where to save a PDF report without granting broad storage access.
PDF reports and your choices
A PDF report is created when you choose to save one. Reports may include device details, scan findings, flagged app names and package information, security settings, and apps removed during the session. You select the destination in Android’s file picker. If you choose a cloud-storage provider, that provider may upload and retain the report under its own terms and privacy policy.
When you open a saved report, the selected PDF viewer receives access to that report. If you independently share a report with eFix or another recipient, that recipient receives its contents. Saving a report does not automatically send it to eFix.
Retention, deletion and security
Unsaved scan results are held in the app’s session memory, rather than a persistent scan-history database. Starting a new scan replaces the previous session results; ending the app process clears its in-memory state. Saved PDF reports remain in your selected location until you delete them. Uninstalling the scanner does not necessarily delete exported reports.
Delete saved reports using your file manager or selected storage provider, including any trash, synced copies or backups as appropriate. eFix cannot remotely delete reports that remain on your device or in your storage account. Android backup is enabled for eligible app data in this version; system backup or device-transfer behavior depends on your device and settings. The app does not itself save a persistent scan history for backup.
Local processing limits automatic disclosure of scan information. PDF reports are not password-protected by the app, so save and share them carefully. Access to exported files and any cloud copies is governed by your device, chosen apps and storage services.
Children’s information
This version does not request a user’s age or personal profile and does not automatically transmit scan data to eFix, regardless of age. If you believe a child has separately sent personal information to eFix, contact us using the details below.
Scan limitations
The app uses local rules and security indicators to flag potential risks. A finding is not proof of malware, spyware or a compromised device, and a clean result does not guarantee that a device is free of threats. Android restrictions and device capabilities limit what can be checked.
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when the app’s data practices change and revise the date above. Material changes requiring notice or consent will be addressed before the relevant new processing occurs.

eFix Diagnostic Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 11, 2026
This policy explains how eFix Diagnostic, provided by EFIX, LLC (“eFix”), handles information when you use its Android hardware testing and PDF report features (package com.efix.diagnostic). The app tests a device’s screen, battery, speakers, cellular signal, microphone and cameras.
Information processed on your device
To run its tests, the app reads information on your device, including: battery level, health, temperature, voltage and charge details; cellular signal strength, network type, carrier name and SIM status; device model, Android version, security patch level, memory, storage and display details; live camera preview; and live microphone audio. Any names, phone numbers, technician names or notes you type into the PDF report screen are also processed on your device.
Data collection and transmission
All tests run locally on your device. eFix Diagnostic does not upload, sell or share your test results, device details, camera images, microphone audio or report contents with eFix or anyone else. eFix Diagnostic is free. The app has no account sign-in, no in-app purchases, no advertising and no analytics. The app does not save photos or video from the camera test, and the short microphone test recording is used only for playback on your device.
Permissions and Android features
- Camera — to show live previews and check each camera, zoom, focus and flashlight.
- Microphone (record audio) — to measure microphone levels and record a short clip for playback.
- Phone state — to read cellular signal strength, network type, carrier and SIM status. The app does not read your phone number, contacts, calls or messages.
- Modify audio settings — to play test tones through the loudspeaker or earpiece.
You can deny or revoke any permission in Android Settings; the related test will not run without it.
PDF reports and your choices
PDF reports are created on your device. A report is only saved where you choose (for example, your Downloads folder or Google Drive) or shared with the app you pick (for example, email or text messaging). Once you save or share a report, the service you choose handles it under its own privacy policy.
Retention, deletion and security
Test results and temporary report and audio files are stored only on your device, in the app’s private storage. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage deletes this information. Reports you saved elsewhere remain until you delete them.
Children’s information
eFix Diagnostic is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Test limitations
Results depend on the information Android and the device manufacturer provide, and some readings (such as battery capacity or charge cycles) are estimates or are unavailable on some devices. Results are not a guarantee of a device’s condition.
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when the app’s data practices change and revise the date above.
